Our Mission
For the community, by the community
First There Pod exists to preserve institutional memory, strengthen community connection, honor legacy, and document the human experiences connected to the United States Air Force Combat Control community.
It's a long-form podcast and community platform built first and foremost for Combat Controllers, their families, and the people closest to the career field. Authentic conversation over manufactured personalities. Stewardship over growth. The goal is a record of the community as it actually is: the history, the humor, the teammates, and the ones we've lost.

The Team

12-year CCT. Built custom team room websites back when I was on a team, and never really stopped building. I’m here to give back to the community that made me. These days I work contracts and private-sector tech, and I spend too many nights teaching myself AI.
Community Advisory Council
A small group of volunteer Combat Controllers from different eras, backgrounds, and assignments, including active-duty members and a representative from the Combat Control Association or Foundation. They help keep the platform grounded in the community it serves.
The council gives perspective on guests, archive stewardship, remembrance, and community-sensitive content. It's advisory, not a corporate board, and the commitment is light: about two hours a month.
